Antihypertensive activity and acute toxicity of turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) in L-NAME-induced hypertension animals

Hypertension is one of the significant risk factors for cardiovascular disease and can lead to complications. Uncontrolled hypertension vascular endothelial dysfunction other complications disease. This study aimed determine effect turmeric rhizome (Curcuma longa L.) in extracts fractions on a hypertensive rat’s model induced by L-NAME 40 mg/kg three weeks an acute toxicity extract. Antihypertensive research was performed male Wistar rats utilizing non-invasive procedures. Turmeric extract at doses 50, 100, 200 its fraction n-hexane, acetyl acetate, ethanol dose 25 mg/kg, respectively, were given daily per oral 2.5 captopril.
